Our Wedding Bands

We finally got our wedding bands in the mail! We're planning to get them engraved, one saying "I love you" the other saying "With all my heart".

Honeymoon

After months of going back and forth, looking into all parts of the world (when I say all, I mean all, we even considered Africa) we decided on Fiji!

Yup, it's probably going to be 10 days 7 nights in Fiji. We want to go to two different islands (Malolo, Castaway, Matamanoa, Likuliku are our options). Castaway island is where they filmed Tom Hank's movie Castaway (hence the name).

Bridesmaid Dresses

I went to Thailand and got the bridesmaid dresses made. They look awesome on Jenn and Steph, heres a picture of one on me. It doesnt look nearly as nice on me as it does on them, theirs fit to a tee.

Wedding Map

Finally created our wedding invitation map. I'm trying to make the colors a little more vibrant, but its kinda hard without making it hot pink. My wedding colors are pink, sage, and brown. Yup, three colors, but pink it the primary color, green and brown are just accents.

I won my auction for 20 disposible cameras! Now here's what I'm planning to do for the wedding:

Don't ever buy a wedding dress from China

I bought a 100 dollar wedding dress from China (off ebay) to wear for pictures (not on the wedding day). Needless to say that you get what you pay for. The fabric was decent, but the cut of the dress was not flattering to my body (as one can see from the picture), and the craftsmanship was.. well, lets just say I can tell that it was made in china.

BUT.... good thing I tune into Project Runway on Bravo. I was inspired by the designers to take apart the dress and made a new dress.




Yes, it was a great experience. I cut the dress in half, took it up at the waist three inches. Removed the pleates from the front and moved them all to the back. The original design of the dress made the waist line low, making waist look thick. Raising the waist line gave me more of a figure. The pleates in the front gave me big hips and looked as though I were hiding something underneath the dress. Like a big old butt, or a midget.





This is me in the process of altering the dress. You can still see the bike injuries on my knees.
